Well the summer is more then half way through and I haven't posted! We have had a very busy few months. My mom came out and spent 10 wonderful days with us. We took her around, showed her Notre Dame, spent time at Chuck E Cheese's. She helped during Field day, the last day of school for Dylan. We had events for the kids all day. I had a great group of parents that helped with it. The kids had a blast and I get to do it at South Peru for two more years!!
Yup, two more years which means.....Deven got into the new public pre-school at SP! We couldn't get him into Kindergarten but they did put him in this pilot program and a friend of mine, Wendy, will be a teachers aide in his class! Woohoo!! We are sooo excited. Mom left just a few days before we got word. She was very excited to see the school and meet the teachers. She got to sit in on some of Dylan's class time and took cookies in for his birthday.
Tim had his first vacation last week so we went to the Indy Zoo and the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Ohio. Tim lost his phone on the way to Ohio but someone found it and called us and told us where to pick it up! We really loved having Tim home for the week. He got to see one of Dylan's tennis lessons, we didn't make it to one of Deven's but I do have one on video! Tim and I even got to play tennis ourselves and want to play at least once a week!
We have started checking out Church's. A few weeks back the boys went to Vacation Bible school at one of the Church's here in town and we went to the Sunday service to see the boys perform 2 songs they learned and get a DVD of pictures from the week before. We enjoyed the Pastor's sermon and have been back. We are going to look at some other church's also but at least we have made that first step. You can see how happy Tim is that were going.
What else....what else.....
Dylan is reading a lot and Deven is being moody. I am re-reading all the Harry Potter books to get ready for the new movie. It came out last night and hopefully in about a week and a half Tim and I will get to go see it in the theatres! We spend a lot of time at the library and McDonald's play houses. The weather has been great! There have only been a handful of days where it was hot. We have had lots of rain and we planted some flowers in the back and the kids love watching them get bigger and bigger!
My grandparents just celebrated their 53rd anniversary yesterday and my in-laws celebrate their 50th in Dec! It hit me last night that my in-laws and my GRANDPARENTS got married 3 years apart. It's funny the things that go through your head when your trying to get sleep.
I hope your all doing well, for those of you in Cali, we miss you all! We are enjoying this place though. We love it here and are so glad mom got to come and see it! The corn is growing bigger every day and is almost as tall as Tim and I now. Every thing is green and beautiful and the bugs are out in force! We are hoping to rent a house in September, get out of apartments. With Deven being in school part time we will see if I can work a job in there yet.
I am hoping to get back into blogging so hope to see you all here again!!!
