If you can hear this ring tone then you are most likely under the age of 30. Tim and I could not hear it but both boys could. We tested them numerous times and they heard a mosquito type whine.
From what I read kids are downloading this so that their phones can go off in classes but the teachers can't hear it. It started out by a security expert in Wales that used a high frequency that could only be heard by those under the age of 20 to help a shop keeper out with some unruly teens that kept coming into his shop in the evenings. The frequency of that actually hurt the teens ears and made them leave. This is at a lower frequency. It seems someone took his idea and tried to emulate it and this was the result.
Can you hear it?

I heard it! It is like I was going for a hearing test. And it is just as annoying!!! As for the dog, she barely opened her eyes.
I heard it... It's annoying... But, I haven't heard it in classes yet. If I do, I'll remember to call my kids on their crap lol.
