Leg 1

So we have reached Flagstaff. We left Fontana at 11 this morning and got here at about 5pm! We stopped 3 times, once for gas, and two pit stops. The scenery was interesting. Lots of Desert!

The rock formations, after we got into Az were beautiful!

We saw some cows along the way and lots of open road.....




Tomorrow is our 6 year anniversary so we splurged on a hotel and plan to take a bath soon.



The goodbyes this morning were hard, but we made them short and sweet. We took mom and the boys to Redhill cafe. Jen and Will and their kids and Isabel came too. We had a great breakfast and sat around for awhile, but we had to leave. So we said our goodbyes for now and shed some tears. It was hard to do but I believe this is the right thing to do and we will be seeing everyone again! Lydell, my moms neighbor and his wife stopped at my moms house last night to say goodbye and though I only get to see them occasionally I found myself close to tears when saying goodbye. There are so many people that we love. We will just all have to learn to talk more often!
