Well yesterday was another big milestone for Dylan! He lost his second tooth and we registered him for Kindergarten! Time is slipping by so fast, next week at this time will be Dylan's second at school and mine and Deven's second day as just the two of us. Though I am anxious for Dylan to start school and be all grown up I am looking forward to time alone with Deven. Dylan was 16 months old when Deven was born and so we had time to together without the stress that two can create, but I haven't had the chance for that with Deven, soon though!
This last Sunday we went to Notre Dame again and finished seeing the campus, there was mostly halls left (dorms), and my favorite, the school book store! It was like a Barnes and Noble, with a Starbucks and text books, Tim had to drag me out of there! It was a warm day so we didn't walk around to much.
This is the Notre Dame Bookstore!
One of the big Halls
I couldn't resist taking a close up of "Dillion" hall, even if they spelled the name wrong ;)
This is "Bond, Bond Hall". (I know I'm a dork!)
We spent an hour at the cemetery looking at the headstones. There are a lot of families buried at the Notre Dame Cemetery and as big as it is there is still a lot of open space for future residences. We didn't take any photos of the cemetery, there were a few people their mourning their loved ones and we felt it would be disrespectful to take any pictures at that time. We did however find a group of headstones for the Perely family, (Tim's mothers maiden name) and a headstone that still has no date of death carved into for a Patrica Perely, (Tim's mothers name!), that was a little weird and kinda cool!
This morning I took the boys to Moconaquah Park which is a huge park area that has a golf course. There a lots of trails through wooded areas, a baseball park and 4 playgrounds with other areas for parties. All surrounded by beautiful woods! We found one of the smaller playgrounds that was empty and the kids ran around for an hour and a half while I sat on a bench swing and took in the sights and sounds around me. There was a nice breeze and the area was shaded on three sides by huge trees. The kids were having so much fun and I was perfectly content to sit there with my McDonald's Iced coffee and swing to the sounds of the birds and cicadas.
We have now gotten home and the boys got another package from my grandparents full of toy police vehicles and Fire vehicles! Good thing we threw out so much of the boys toys before we left, at the rate of their packages from Cali we are going to be right back where we were in no time at all!!!!
(Sorry the pictures aren't the greatest, I haven't gotten around to a lot of editing lately, but these and many others will be posted on my flickr account soon!)
