The school did it again! When I went to pick Dylan up yesterday they were trying to put him on the bus. He was fighting them and pointing at me, I had stood by the opening of the gym just in case. When I looked in and saw him, he ran for me, tears racing down his face, bright red blotches doting his skin, and grabbed me around my waist. A minute later his teacher brought the rest of his class out and when she saw me she walked up to me and said, "If your going to pick Dylan up from school you need to write a note for him." Not necessarily a sarcastic sentence when you read it but if you had seen the look on her face and heard her voice...... I looked at her and stated that he NEVER rides the bus home and that I had filled out the paperwork stating that. I was incensed, she brings my kid to tears to days in a row because she never read the paperwork! To make things easier I wrote a note for her when I got home, well 5 notes. Tim had to censure them for me a bit. I didn't want to sound nasty or mean, I just wanted to get the point across. I want Dylan to have a good experience and him crying two days in a row over the same thing, when I had spoken to people about it the first day is not acceptable. And frankly when I saw the stress on Dylan's face and the tears my mommy instincts reared their ugly head! You do not make my boy cry!!!!!! On top of it all, Dylan is starting to suck his thumb again! Poor boy they have really got him worrying!
Deven is doing OK with Dylan being in school but his tantrum quota of the day is going up, especially the first 2 hours Dylan is gone. He says he wants something and then we go to get it he changes his mind and wants something else. When I tell him no the tears and yelling start and then he wants what he first asked for! He actually was on his stomach kicking this morning in protest to my needing to fold the laundry instead of building him train tracks! He has always had Dylan to help him and do things for him and now he wants mommy to do it and I think it's time he learned to rely on his self for some things! Last night I put the boys to bed and went downstairs to chat with my dad on the back patio. Deven came down about 10 minutes after he went to bed and asked me to stay upstairs. I came up and talked to Dylan, he was looking a bit worried, I think it was the bus thing it freaked him out yesterday. Then I told Deven to go to sleep and that I would be downstairs and that he was not to get out of bed. 10 minutes later he was downstairs, opened the back door, looked me in the eye and said "I told you I want you to stay upstairs,"! I was waiting for him to stomp his foot or something!!! He has a very unpleasant attitude right now, on the flip side he is very clingy so I get lots of little boy hugs and snuggles!!!
