Shopping, Shopping, Shopping

Wow who ever thought I could get tired of shopping!!! Since we are moving into our new place, and ditched a lot of our old nasty stuff when we came out to Indiana, we need to buy some new things. We decided that we really wanted to buy some nicer stuff this time, we aren't talking chandeliers of crystal and marble tables. Just stuff that is warm and cozy and reflects us and not the people that owned it previously. Also with this new apartment we have to supply all the window treatments and that includes the hardware. Saturday we drove to the super Target in Lafayette, about 50 miles away. Since it is down the street from Purdue we thought it might have a better home decor section, it did!! (And according to Tim, cute college girls.)
Deven had gotten Dylan's head cold so he was stuffy and miserable feeling, but in a great mood. Dylan had gotten past the worst of it but still had a bit of a cough. We all traipsed in thankful for the air conditioning, it was 95 and very muggy outside. We started our slow crawl through the store, avoiding the food, clothes and kitchen gadget sections so as to not tempt ourselves with frivolities. We found a slip cover for the sofa and a shower curtain for the upstairs shower. We found rugs for both bathrooms, the kitchen and the front stoop. We choose color schemes for each room except the kitchen. The boys got Cars decals for their walls. We couldn't find curtains that we really liked but we still have time. We have to convert the downstairs closet into a pantry so we bought 2 shelving stands for that. And through all that and some more we still need things and there are a few things we want!
Curtains are a need, and our complex insists that all you see is white from the outside, which means white sheers under colorful curtains, no way I am having white curtains with my to little demons! A dinning room table goes under the need category where a kitchen cart falls under the really really want! We want to be more organized then last time so after we get things moved in we need to take stock of what we have and then get the items needed to make it all nice and neat.
Today I went to the local Target and got some small items, soap pump and hand towels in the bathrooms colors, Curtain rods for all the rooms. Nail polish remover, nail files....well I have to get some things I can use right away!
After the last few days in stores, I am ready to be done, but we're not! As long as we are settled in before Oct 1st, so that I can start Fall baking and Halloween decorating then I guess I can shop on for a little while more!!!
By the way, when did everything get so expensive?????
